Thank you all for the cooperation that you have given to Western Christian during the course of this year. God has blessed us in so many ways which includes a maturing in faith and much learning about His Word and world. As we are now in the final month of school, I want you to be knowledgeable about several things that are listed in this Western Wire.

EXAM SCHEDULE

Parents and students should carefully read the final exam policy and schedule in this publication so there are no misunderstandings. Please call the Principal if you have any questions about the exam days which are May 31, June 1 and 2 for Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors.

SENIOR SCHEDULE

The seniors will take their exams during the regular school days on Thursday and Friday, May 18 and 19. They must attend these full days. Seniors last day of classes will be May 19.

GRADUATION

Commencement will be held Tuesday, May 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. Seniors must attend a rehearsal on that day at 11:00 a.m.

TEXTBOOKS

All textbooks must be returned to the classrooms before students will be allowed to take their final exams.

REGISTRATION

Registration for the 2017-2018 school year will be held on Wednesday, July 12 from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the office and main entrance.

SECOND SEMESTER FINAL EXAM POLICY
May, 2017

1. All tuition and other financial obligations must be paid or arranged for before exams can be taken.

2. All detentions must be served before students can take exams.

3. Seniors will take their exams on Thursday and Friday, May 18 and 19 during the regular class schedule. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will take exams on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, May 31, June 1 and 2, during 90 minute special periods.

4. There will be three exam periods each day. Make-up exam periods must be arranged with individual teachers for Monday, June 5.

5. Students do not need to come to school until they have an exam scheduled. Once they are here, they may not leave campus until their last exam for the day is completed. (Once you leave campus for the day, you may not return.)

6. Buses will run regular times on the exam days. Last day of busing is Friday, June 2.

7. If students do not have an exam during a given period, they must be in one of four places: a) in the cafeteria/student commons; b) in the gym; c) on the athletic field west of school or d) at home. (Once they come to school, they may not leave until their last exam that day.) Students may not roam the halls nor be outside in front (south) of school. When students have completed an exam, they may quietly leave the room after 50 minutes and go to one of the designated areas. They may not visit in the hallways!

8. Students must clean their lockers and return their books to their classroom teachers.

9. Lunch will be served through Tuesday, May 30. Students will need to "brown bag" it on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, if they need to stay all day for exams, or they may order food in. They will not be able to leave campus and then return.
