I currently teach Accounting, , Consumer Economics, Christian Economics, Computer Applications, Advanced Computer Applications and PE.  I also coach football, girls basketball, and track.  I love the high school environment — students at this age are able to be influenced, and I hope that I can have a positive influence on them, so when they go out in to the world they can influence people in a positive Christian manner.  Teaching at Western Christian High School is a blessing because the support here is second-to-none.  Being able to openly talk about and share your faith in the classroom is something that we wouldn't be able to do at other schools, and we can't take that for granted.  Coming from a public school background and now teaching at a Christian school has really opened my eyes to how important it is to be able to share your faith in each and every class you have.  God has His hands in everything, and being able to talk about that and show that in our classrooms is something we can't take for granted.  I hope each day that the students recognize the opportunity they have here at Western Christian High School to be able to learn in a Christian environment and to talk about their faith openly.

I grew up in Rock Valley, Iowa, and am a proud graduate of Northwestern College in Orange City—go Red Raiders!  I am a member of  Hull First CRC . I am married to Megan and we have a son named Grayson.   In my spare time I enjoy sports, golfing, and watching my younger brothers in their various sporting events.  My favorite Bible verse is Matthew 23: 11-12.
