My name is Sarah Wilson, and I am the Resource Room and Animal Science teacher at Western.  I grew up in Sioux Center, and I graduated from Northwestern College with a degree in Biology, secondary teaching, and secondary special education.  I believe that every student has been given specific gifts from God, and I want to help each student use those gifts to serve our God.  I have a love for working with students to help them realize and reach their full potential.  This is my second year of teaching, but before coming to Western, I spent many years working for Hope Haven and Village Northwest in Sheldon.  I have had a passion for working with individuals with disabilities for as long as I can remember.  This was a major part of my decision to pursue a degree in teaching.  I also developed a love of science in college.  I feel very fortunate to work in a place where I can both help struggling students and teach science.

I recently moved to Rock Rapids after getting married in December.  Blair, my husband, works for Alpha Omega Publications in Rock Rapids.  We love being members of Rock Rapids First Reformed Church, and enjoy being a part of worship activities.  We also enjoy camping, traveling, golfing, and spending time with our families and friends.
